Slow Fade

This song has been going through my head this week. This video is so powerful, if you have never watched it please take a couple minutes and do it. So often, we find ourselves in situations that we never thought we would be in.

Sometimes it's finances...it starts off as just a little Target credit card...then it's $20,000 worth of debt.

Our marriages...I'm too tired, we have nothing in common, all he ever does is work, all she ever does is shop, I'm just not into him anymore...on and on it goes.

Our walk with the Lord...I don't have time to read and pray in the morning, I'm only missing Wednesday nights, Sundays aren't that important.

It's only one swear word, one drink, one puff on a cigarette, one time of looking at a dirty magazine, one Google search for porn, one time of eating the whole pie, one time you lose your temper.

We tell ourselves we have it all under control. IT'S ONLY ONE TIME! We can quit. It won't get bigger than this.

Then it is bigger. Then we are dealing with the crumbling of the walls in our lives.

Let's search our lives and look for that area where we are compromising. What are we telling ourselves, "I'll deal with that soon, I won't let it get out of control."

Confess it, turn from it, FLEE!

Psalm 38:3-5
"There is no soundness in my flesh because of Your anger, nor any health in my bones, because of my sin. For my iniquities have gone over my head; like a heavy burden they are too heavy for me. My wounds are foul and festering because of my foolishness."

I John 1:9
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

(P.S. Whenever I watch a video, I push play and then pause it, let it load all the way and then watch it. It is so much better!)
